Eat lots of Greens
“Eat you greens!”, it‘s what grannies all over the world shout. And yet eating them really is good for you and your brain. Brussels sprouts, spinach, broccoli, kale, cabbage, cauliflower and other green leafy vegetables are all high in vitamin E and that has the power to decrease the rate of mental decline as we age. It’s also an antioxidant which can help to protect the brain and body from free radicals which can attack the body’s cells.
Green leafy vegetables are generally very high in iron too, and research has been conducted which has found that if someone’s body is low in iron then their thinking suffers and cognitive aspects decrease.
