Confidence and self respect increase with sex
University of Texas researchers published findings in the Archives of Sexual Behavior showing that self esteem was one of 237 motivations why men and women have sex. Gina Ogden, PhD, is a sex therapist and marriage and family therapist in Cambridge, Mass. and she agrees with the findings. She believes that those who have self esteem have sex to feel better. She says, "One of the reasons people say they have sex is to feel good about themselves". She goes on, "Great sex begins with self-esteem, and it raises it. If the sex is loving, connected, and what you want, it raises it".
